HistoryWith an experience of more than 100 years, DAe Systems GmbH formerly known as Dräger Aerospace has achieved a remarkable reputation in the field of high altitude breathing. The great number of record setting achievements during the 20th century with balloon flights, power flights, parachute jumping and mountain expeditions owed much of their success to Dräger Aerospace’s high altitude breathing systems.After the Second World War Dräger was involved in the majority of national aircraft programs. Supplying oxygen systems for e.g. VFW 614 and C-160 Transall. End of the 1980’s Dräger successfully entered the international aviation market. During the 1990’s Dräger Aerospace has been awarded key contracts from major aircraft manufacturer and airlines for both civil and military applications. In 2006 Dräger Aerospace became a wholly-owned subsidiary of B/E Aerospace. Effective January 1, 2008 the name of the company has been changed to DAe Systems GmbH. |
